Word Fire

The IPM-supported poetic medicine program, Word Fire, was held at Jean’s Place Transitional Housing Residence in Portland, Oregon.

Jean's Place (Transitional Projects, Inc.) is a 60-bed short-term, housing-focused residential program for women. The program provides case management, life-and job-skills training, and support services. This program provides dedicated beds to women involved in the Multnomah County community justice system and U.S. Military Veterans. Stays are generally 4-6 months long. Abstinence from alcohol and drugs is expected of residents.
