Poetry Series for People with Parkinson’s Disease and their care partners
Program updates as of October 2022:
A single group of 14 participants launched on September 15. A second session was on September 22.
The group is comprised of 12 members with Parkinson’s and 2 care-givers. Participants are from a broad range of locations:Pennsylvania, Texas, Virginia, Kentucky, Florida, New Jersey, plus 2 participants from Calgary, Canada and one from Denmark! Most came to the program because they had submitted poems to The Quiver website. One woman, in particular, mentioned she was encouraged to write by Wayne Gilbert.
