Hi all,

I am delighted to be here. Figured I'd share something of mine by way of introduction. This one is on the longer side for me, and is from my forthcoming debut collection, Blood Alluvium (Parlyaree Press, September, 2024). It was originally published in Wrongdoing Magazine.

Ohhhhh, beautiful. And beautiful grief. You take me there. I am so sorry for your loss which is lifechanging.

Hello. I'm new to the group. Here is a poem I wrote shortly after my wife passed away....

No Stranger to Grief

No stranger to grief these sixty four years.

No stranger to loss or longing or tears.

Holding our dying son gasping for breath in the single hour

that was his life.

Beautiful. To have loved so well. Thank you for sharing this.

Thank you for sharing. I see a lot of strength there. I put my hand on your arm and proclaim, "heal!" Sending love to heal.

Lovely. Likened to Langston Hughes.
