About the event
John Fox will lead a four-part program of Poetic Medicine via the Artzwell organization in Hong Kong. In November John offered an introductory program to the Artzwell group and was invited to present a more in-depth path for poetry-as-healer.
To be clear this program as listed below is as it will be happening during the day Hong Kong time.
Translated to a US time frame the dates and times look like this:
December 10th 6-9pm Pacific
January 14th 6-9pm Pacific
February 18th 6-9pm Pacific
March 18th 7-10pm Pacific
This four-part program is open to therapists, social workers, psychiatrists, expressive arts therapists.

Poetic Medicine Advanced Training (Four-Session)
Date: 11/12, 15/1, 19/2, 19/3 (every Sun)
Medium: English (We are encouraged to use our mother tongue to write and to share.)
Target: Creative arts therapists and students, social workers, helping professionals, writers, teachers, and educators
Fee: HKD2,000 (including a manual)
*Upon the completion of Poetic Medicine Advanced Training, the Institute for Poetic Medicine will issue a certificate of completion.
John Fox, PPM, is a poet and Practitioner of Poetic Medicine. He is author of Poetic Medicine: The Healing Art of Poem Making and Finding What You Didn’t Lose: Expressing Your Truth and Creativity Through Poem-Making. His work is featured in the documentary, Healing Words: Poetry and Medicine.
John taught for many years at the graduate level in three institutions, including in the Expressive Therapy Department at the California Institute for Integral Studies. John is President of The Institute for Poetic Medicine, a nonprofit he founded in 2005. IPM offers a wide-range of training opportunities. IPM funds poetry projects serving marginalized populations. John brings poetry-as-healer throughout the United States and abroad. Poetic Medicine is translated into Korean. He lives in Mountain View, California.
